英語，是國際通用語言，是大不列顛帝國曾經(jīng)輝煌的佐證。其重要性不言而喻，但我今天不想高談闊論，而只想說說它對我個人的影響——英語改變了我。
英語改變了我的性格。幼時的我總是沉默寡言，直到初二，這個問題才得以解決。以前的我不知是受到了誰的影響，認(rèn)為沉默是金，認(rèn)為“高冷”的性格很酷，從那時開始，我便開始裝高冷：父母對我說話時我只回應(yīng)一個“恩”，同學(xué)向我搭話，我也是愛理不理的樣子。漸漸地，父母開始擔(dān)心我是不是生病了，同學(xué)們也開始對我“橫眉冷對”，那時的我發(fā)現(xiàn)了問題，想要去改變，卻發(fā)現(xiàn)我已經(jīng)“冷”到了骨子里，對誰都再提不起一點興趣。直到我看了一部英語電影，我開始對應(yīng)于著迷；每天看美劇，每天聽英語歌。但很快我就意識到光聽不說是不行的。從那以后，我便開始腆著臉與同學(xué)搭話，讓他們聽聽我說英語，或許是因為我總是吵著要買磁帶練聽力，與父母的關(guān)系也破冰了。時間推移，我從幼時的“高冷”，開始變得陽光、熱情洋溢起來。
英語改變了我的交際圈。在我開始著迷英語后，我的英語成績直線上升。我開始受同學(xué)和老師的關(guān)注與歡迎，時常被老師“推”上臺講述如何學(xué)好英語，也時常被同學(xué)拉著講題。不僅如此，在我常玩的一塊國際性游戲中，由于我敢于開口說英語，我結(jié)交了不少外國玩家。我們相互促進，我教他們一句中文，他們也會指出一些我的英語發(fā)音或是語法問題。但最重要的是，我的交際圈由此從國內(nèi)轉(zhuǎn)向了國際，我不僅開闊了眼界，獲取了更純正的英語知識，還擴寬了自己未來的道路。
英語改變了我的'人生。雖然目前說這個為時尚早，但我有這樣的信心。英語將我從一個內(nèi)向的人，變?yōu)榱艘粋�洋溢著熱情陽光氣息的青春少年，為我開闊了眼界，為我的交際圈畫上了濃厚的一筆。同時，英語也為我指明了道路。曾經(jīng)的我懵懂無知，沒有所謂的夢想，沒有未來的人生方向，但當(dāng)我遇到英語的時候，我開始明白我想要的究竟是什么。在我的人生中，英語是不可或缺的一部分。

With the gloomy prospect of returning to school, many students could suffer from post-holiday syndrome, which refers to a general feeling of depression before returning to campus life, which is caused by irregular lifestyles during the holiday. Symptoms include fatigue, lack of appetite and concentration, irritability and a feeling of helplessness.
Various reasons can account for it. But most important of all, a large number of students tend to overindulge themselves in eating, merrymaking and playing around during the holidays, which makes it difficult to adjust to their routine study schedule and life pace on the campus.
My suggestions to deal with this syndrome are as follows. First，exercising and sticking to a normal schedule over the holidays will make a difference and nip post-holiday syndrome in the bud.
