Preserving Natural Resources(保護自然資源)

    在世界環(huán)保日來臨前夕，聯(lián)合國教科文組織就如何保護自然資源問題向全世界中學生征文。請根據(jù)提示以“Preserving Natural Resource”(保護自然資源)為題，寫一篇英語短文。

    1．隨著人口的增長和科技的發(fā)展，自然資源月益短缺；

    2．自然資源不可再生，許多資源瀕臨毀滅；

    3．水資源越來越缺乏；

    4．假如人類繼續(xù)浪費資源。，不采取有效措施，子孫生存將受到威脅.

                      Preserving Natural Resources

      Thrdugh the changes'in the ways Of making a living in a family over several gen,erations, man has been warned against waste of natural resources and emphasizing the urgent need to preserve these resources.

     Ever since man appeared on the earth, man's survival has been heavily relied on nature. Almost everything we use in our everyday life comes fromm'notate, ranging from the food we eat, the water we drink, to the wood which is tm'ned into furniture.With the development of technology and population growth, the amount and range of materials used has increased at an alarming rate.However, natural resources are not inexhaustible. Some reserves are already on the brink of exhaustion and there is no hope of replacing them. The widespread water shortage is an example in point. If man continued to squander natural resources with no thought for the future, the later generations would be in danger. It is up to us to take effective measures before the situation gets out of hand.

    保護自然資源

    經(jīng)過幾代人謀生方式的變化，人類已經(jīng)得到警告，要反對浪費自然資源，急需保護這些資源。

    自從人類在地球上出現(xiàn)以來，人類的生存就一直依賴自然。我們?nèi)粘Ｉ�活所用的一切，從吃的東西、喝的水到做家具的木材，幾乎都來自自然。隨著科學技術的發(fā)展以及人口的增長，所用物品的數(shù)量和范圍以令人擔憂的速度在增長。然而，自然資源并不是無窮無盡的。一些儲量已經(jīng)到了窮盡的邊緣，而且沒有希望替換它們。分布廣泛的水的缺乏就是一個例子。如果人類不為將來著想繼續(xù)浪費自然資源，后代就會受到威脅。我們應該采取有效措施，防止形勢惡化。
